The Problem
Unaligned workforce interventions
The clean energy industry lacks a data hub to analyze workforce needs. As a consequence, training programs pop up where they aren’t needed and without industry input to ensure they are meeting company needs. Candidates invest thousands of their own money in these training programs without securing a job. Meanwhile, jobs in different locations remain unfilled.
The Solution
Create a workforce data hub
As the sister organization of the American Clean Power Association, a trade association of 800+ clean energy companies representing over 80% of the US clean energy supply, CPI has access to data about where projects are going, when, and what workforce they will need. We will use this information to centralize and democratize clean energy workforce data to inform existing and new training program. Over the course of 2024, we will build a data hub to house information and analyze and publish data to get information into the field.
