Forging strategic partnerships
The Problem
Setting the table for united efforts
While significant progress is being made and substantial assets are being deployed to build a clean energy future, the knowledge, resources, and constituencies of the clean energy sector are not yet collaborating toward aligned outcomes. In a single community, for example, a labor union, nonprofit organization, and local official may each be supporting a clean energy project, but be unaware of each other’s efforts.
The Solution
Creating spaces for connection and alignment
CPI is bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders to build awareness and support for clean energy. For example, CPI’s Workforce Leadership Council convenes industry leaders with civil rights leaders to help reach communities historically underserved by economic investments. Likewise, we are connecting the heads of labor unions with the heads of clean energy companies for critical conversations about building a workforce grounded in good-paying jobs and fair labor practices. We are also connecting the clean energy industry with local, state, and federal non-profits and philanthropy to enhance collaboration, ensure meaningful community engagement and advance clean energy solutions.
In addition to facilitating these relationships, CPI, in collaboration with our trade association sister organization, the American Clean Power Association, CPI is deploying a variety of communications and education tools to maximize and strengthen our strategic partnerships.
